Festival Passions | Sweet Passion
The Passions festival will take the public back to the 17th and 18th centuries. Traditionally programmed during the Lenten period, it takes the audience on a journey of sacred music, featuring an inexhaustible collection of composers from the religious repertoire.
The first concert, entitled Sweet Passion, will be dedicated to works from England exploring human passion in all its sweetness, and the love of lament, of which one of the greatest masters is undoubtedly Henry Purcell.
The programme will include music by Purcell, Hume, Pepusch, Handel…
